Hello all, I’m posting today to clear up any confusion. There has been some misinformation put about that Cloud Cuckoo Designs have been renamed as Ella and Otto. I can confirm this is not the case. Yes, there is a brand Ella and Otto but this is a company set up this year using designs registered and developed under Cloud Cuckoo Designs. These designs were produced during a trial project, involving Cloud Cuckoo Designs and Tania Urban (who earlier this year set up Ella & Otto). Disappointed by the results, which we felt were too compromised, we decided at the end of 2008 that we would stop selling this range under the Cloud Cuckoo Designs name, once all stock had been sold.
We are producing a new textile range in our signature style that will be available in the near future and will include similar and additional products as before.

snOwmen

An old fashioned winter wonderland. It has been many years since I last woke up to such a deep white covering. All the happy memories of sledging with my sister and my dad have been with me all morning, Maude is not of the age to appreciate it but nevertheless we had a fun outing this morning and here are some of the jolly snowmen we met along the way. I couldn't't resist a group photo of the chilly beings but some of my favourites too, check out 'Teeny Tiny' "snow Bunny' and only one I came across with a good old carrot nose. Maude and I will be making our snow family I hope later today or tomorrow.

Top Drawer Spring

Tuesday afternoon took me to Top drawer as a visitor rather than exhibitor, strange being the other side of the fence but good too. To keep to timings we were pleased to still launch a new card range just before the show and this has been meet with great enthusiasm.
As our new range features humble home owls 'Tweet & Twoo' I was taken by some other lovely owls on show by Olive and Moss, Petra Boase and new company Owaboo
In addition to the owls other lovely finds were; simplistic clean designs for babies from Fabric of the Universe, a new company based in Edinburgh
Thornback and Peel had gorgeous sketch hand printed textiles used across a range of products including baby tops, might NEED one for my little Maudie!!
Finally an old classic and inspiration to many SCP have the amazing work of Alexander Girard as plywood prints and here is my favourite Madonna
'Blossom & Bob' from ISAK is sure to follow in the success as this too is fab and as always they too had a great stand

sunday markets
London is just fab for out and about ness every day of the week. And what better than an east London Sunday at Columbia Rd, Brick Lane/Cheshire St and Spitalfields.
Well Market fun and capers was super, hustle and bustle, people watching, bumping into friends "Hi Allan & Pablo" and meeting good friends Stuart and Rory.
Then what a find, and how have I missed this treasure for so long "UNTO THIS LAST" amazing and beautiful plywood furniture, gorgeous to look at, superb craftsmanship and small items too to buy there and then and pop in your handbag; coasters for us and cute ellie for Maude.
So if you're out and about that way be sure to check in, they're open every day and it's 230 Brick Lane, enjoy. Otherwise log onto their site and here are some images for a little taster!
