HAppy aDveNt sUndAy 1sT
Hello and happy advent Sunday.
This post merrily follows on from the craftie posts we have been sharing.
My mini1's love opening doors and seeing pictures or chocolates but this year I have opted for a hide a gift and seek the bag kind of advent calendar instead.
The girls enjoyed the hunting and foraging and finding their striped bags of yellow and white with a bold pink dot and Dec 1 on it.
Inside their treat bags were a hand made white ceramic hanging decoration, a paper heart with date on and joined together with best of British liberty print fabric. Yes I did slip into pink for the girls and blue for the boy and of course we couldn't forget a little choc and although I didn't make the chocs I did enjoy eating a few whilst making the decorations!
Happy advent my mini1's and to you too xx

With nativity costumes being made, rehearsals and more tipples being poured into the puds and cakes me and minimini1 took a break to get cRafTy!
Minimini1 loved the task if foraging and sorting all the 'just right' pompoms and then we got going and made lots and lots of Christmas cupcake toppers.
Minimini1 couldn't resist making one for wHiTe chRisTmaS mOuSe tOo....

What we're wearing Wednesday ...... Week#7
Although I'm partial to wearing an apron just because I love them and I think they make a gorgeous addition as does a scarf, a neckpiece or fabulous bag, today my apron saw plenty of cleaning action!
I've decided to show it as the main item as it was worn all day, yes my home glistens!
Fun chunky neckwear in the form of wooden beads were added as was one of my hand made birds.
Super light weight denim skinny jeans and pastel petrol pumps were added too!

What We're Wearing Wednesday........Week 1
This post will come on all, some, or as many as I can Wednesdays and the first one is me!
A certain five year old thought she would have the first one but when I reminded her that she was wearing her summer uniform she decided she wanted to wait and pick a holiday Wednesday instead, shame really I quite like her uniform!
So Wednesdays wardrobe this week is me, and today I'm dressed in cobalt blue Nicole Farhi linen tunic with curved side splits, pockets which I love and knot fold detail at front.
Accessorised with one of my hand made neck pieces featuring fish flower and pompom, mushroom brogues with pink cotton petersham laces.
Hair in monkey buns! When mini1 first asked for monkey buns I had no idea what they were she says they are chunky curly hair buns, one each side (a bit Star Wars like if you ask me but much more nest like!)

Tomorrows forecast........
Its twenty two hundred hours, still light skies, tinged with pink, birds singing and local church bells chiming.....beautiful evening.
Despite this today has been incredibly wet so I couldn't put my head down without knowing what tomorrow has in store after this gorgeous evening.
I think my little doodle darling illustrates tomorrow's forecast a treat.....
Little low cloud to start giving way to a sunny day, I'm happy!

animal heads....
I love them, and the choice is big now as this trend to pop a head on your wall continues to grow. What's better is that you don't have to have a real one so to speak because the possibilities and choices of these creatures adorning your walls in paper, fabric, wool or felt is vast!
Here are some of my favourite heads and if you click over to our wall deco board on Pinterest http://pinterest.com/itscloudcuckoo/wall-deco/ you can follow links to purchase or find out more on these beauties and see more that we have pinned too.
In the meantime a thank you to Molly-Meg, Anthropologie, Abigail Brown, Etsy, Mister Finch and Serendipity to name a few from the below for creating or sourcing or selling these lovies.

dOOdLe tWiGs
Always at the ready to up-cycle, recycle and re-use we have today given new life to our easter tree!
After dismantling the tree of feathers, chicks, paper flowers and mini pompom garlands we were left with white painted twigs which was just what we needed for our next project, in short doodled twigs, joined together to create letters and o e for each of the mini1's....
Mini1 the letter 'M'
Mini2 the letter 'C'
Mini3 the letter 'A'
As our twigs were already painted white we doodled with felt pens but if you wish to use natural unpainted twigs then colourful (or white) poster or acrylic paint would be great for doodling.
Doodle twigs are great fun and can be transformed into all kinds of letters, objects or left as twigs, we will be bringing more as they proved to be lots of fun.
